Want to know who you should be following on social media to stay in-the-know about Industry 4.0? Onalytica, an agency that connect brands with social media influencers, has announced its list of the Top 50 thought leaders and influencers who drove the most engagement on the topic of Industry 4.0 over a six month period.

Industry 4.0 refers to the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The term was born at Hannover Fair 2011 in Hannover, Germany. Today, “Industry 4.0” is ubiquitous, but the term doesn’t have a universally accepted definition, and it can encompass different technologies and advances.

Onalytica’s list offers 50 incredible resources for people and companies searching for leading-edge information and news about Industry 4.0.

#1 on the list is Jeff Winter, who is an event speaker and thought leader with more than 57,000 followers in LinkedIn. Jeff is a leader within the Smart Manufacturing and IIoT (SMIIoT) division of the International Society of Automation (ISA). He helped SMIIoT division members create the August 2022 issue of InTech, which covered Industry 4.0 in depth. He also wrote a feature in the magazine called “The Birth of Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing.”

“It is up to every company to come up with their own definition and strategy to figure out how to take advantage of all the new transformative technologies collectively and to thrive in this transformative time we are living in right now,” says Winter. “Here is a simple way to describe the concept: Industry 3.0 is about Automation–the reduction of human intervention in processes. Industry 4.0 is about cognition, or the process of acquiring knowledge and understanding. These two are separated by the ability to properly capture and harness the power of data. Digital Transformation can be thought of as the journey and strategy to get to vision of Industry 4.0.”

#2 on the list is Jake Hall, who serves as a keynote speaker and content creator at The Manufacturing Millennial. Follow him on LinkedIn or look him up on Twitter @MFGMillennial. Jake recently wrote a LinkedIn article called How Modern Technology Is Making Small Manufacturing Businesses More Competitive. On May 3, 2023, Jake will be in Chicago speaking at the Marketing to Engineers seminar.

#3 on the list is Michal Ukropec, CEO of twinzo, which creates solutions to everyday problems in manufacturing, especially 3D visualization. Find him on LinkedIn. He focuses on educating his followers about 3D, digitalization and Industry 4.0 trends.

#4 on the list is Giuliano Liguori, CEO and co-founder of Kenovy, a company that helps businesses apply digital transformation. Follow him on LinkedIn and look him up on Twitter @ingliguori. Giuliano recently published a piece called “Digital Transformation: Key Elements and Benefits.” He also recently posted a LinkedIn piece titled “Defining the Differences Between MLOps, ModelOps, DataOps & AIOps.”
